Nterti: noun || great sorrow, deep sadness, emotional romantic pain, heartache.
This profoundly human pain becomes the core of the new story written by screenwriters Melina Tsampani and Petros Kalkovalis and directed by Spyros Rasidakis.
A kind of story that becomes a song…
The 1980s…
Glamour, colors, intensity, excess.
People made of flammable materials and passions that flicker like neon marquees.
Places and moments are defined by the ‘here and now’.
…And during the endless nights, the cities never sleep. They only live. They live more intensely than they can bear.
Patras, 1987
The neon lights of the nightclub “Nterti” turn on.
Some will confront the absences that became trauma, some will search for the words drowned out by the loudness of music, and some will chase the dreams that blurred amid smoke and illusions.
The return of a young woman to the city where she was born becomes the first drop of a torrential rain that will sweep everything away.
In her luggage, she carries a secret agreement, the fear of reuniting with her mother, and a dangerous love that must remain hidden in order to survive.
And the story begins. A story written in 9/8 rhythm, about those who loved with risk, lost themselves in their choices, but fight to find their own voice.
“Nterti,” a sweeping drama that breathes through music, love, betrayal, and the thirst for redemption, is coming to ANT1’s new program.
